I really mean it…Y’all are something!

December 27, 2012

This is the second story I have seen and I think it is great. The people of Newtown are being submerged under an avalanche of support. It takes a world full of loving people to do something like this. This is not superhero type person doing this. It is literally, millions and millions of regular, normal people including you and I. Collectively we are strong and trust me when I say that the people in power notice. Trust me when I say the wolves notice this. If this was bad news, then the media would report it as the lead story. But it is not bad news and they are scarcely reporting it.

Don’t allow the media to distract you and force you to focus on the few wolves who seek to harm the innocent. Don’t allow them to distract you using code words and issues. Stay Positive. Stay informed. But mostly think about the Millions of Shepherds who care about the sheep. Remember this when you think there are not any good people in the USA. You are not alone, you are surrounded by Shepherds. Do something positive today, be a shepherd!

That is all for now, Peace, Hope, and Love!

NEWTOWN, Conn.     (AP) — Officials in Newtown, Conn., are asking people to stop sending gifts to the grief-stricken community following the deadly school shooting, saying they’re deeply grateful but can’t handle the donation deluge.

The town’s first selectman, police chief and schools superintendent made the request Wednesday through an editor at The Newtown Bee newspaper.

They say since a gunman killed 20 first-graders and six educators Dec. 14, gifts from school supplies to artwork have arrived in such numbers they’ve overwhelmed the small community’s ability to process them.

The officials are asking people to temporarily stop sending gifts. They say once they process the “warehouses full of items,” they’ll detail the best ways to help.

Meanwhile, the United Way of Western Connecticut announced Wednesday that a fund established after the shooting to support Newtown has grown to $3.5 million.

How inspiring that this kind of support continues. I wish there was a news channel that only reported the good stuff. I would watch! Happy New Year!

  2. I would as well. I spend so much time watching sports or history channel because the news is just so depressing. It is sad that we focus on the negatives and totally miss the positives.

I am proud of how our country has responded to the challenge that presented itself in Newtown. I really believe that 99% of our country really cares about things like this and that should be the lesson.

  3. Very well said! And very true!
